QUESTIONS ABOUT THE COURSE

This course focuses on equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage stakeholders and consortia in EU-funded projects. It covers topics such as stakeholder engagement, consortium agreements, communication strategies, and conflict resolution.

This course is ideal for project coordinators, managers, EU project stakeholders, and professionals responsible for managing consortia in EU-funded projects. It is also suited for anyone involved in the governance and reporting of collaborative EU projects.

The course uses the PM² Methodology as the foundation for managing consortia and stakeholders. Participants will learn how to apply PM² concepts, templates, and artefacts related to stakeholder management, helping ensure effective governance in EU-funded projects.

Participants will learn the key areas of focus when drafting a consortium agreement, including defining roles, responsibilities, and conflict resolution mechanisms. The course offers insights into structuring agreements to ensure transparency and commitment.

The course teaches participants how to handle consortium conflicts through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods, such as amicable reconciliation, negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. These techniques are essential for maintaining smooth consortium operations.

Effective stakeholder management ensures that all project partners are aligned with the project's goals, roles are clearly defined, and communication is efficient. This increases the project’s success and competitiveness when seeking funding.

By teaching participants how to manage stakeholders and consortia effectively, the course helps improve the quality of project proposals and increases the chances of securing funding. Proper consortium management signals maturity to funding bodies like the European Commission.

Participants will learn techniques for effective communication within a consortium, ensuring clear internal (intra-consortium) and external reporting. This fosters transparency and ensures that all project members are engaged throughout the project lifecycle.

CSFs are the key elements that contribute to the successful management of a consortium. This course helps participants understand how to address CSFs, such as building strong partnerships, maintaining commitment, and ensuring governance, which are crucial for successful project outcomes.

Participants will gain insights into stakeholder-related risks and how to manage them. The course covers strategies for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that can arise from stakeholder misalignment or miscommunication within a consortium.

The course includes practical guidance on structuring internal and external reporting within the consortium, ensuring that participants can manage communication and reporting requirements for the European Commission effectively.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Training Completion, demonstrating their expertise in stakeholder and consortium management, along with their familiarity with the PM² Methodology. This certification enhances their credentials for managing EU-funded projects.
