The new year kickstarted with another Proposal Writing for Research & Innovation Projects course. Following a high number of participants from the Academia, we observed increased interest in the ERC and MSCA funding supports. As many attendees were working in the field of neurosciences and cancer research, Horizon Europe’s Pillar 2 on global challenges and European industrial competitiveness has attracted most of their attention, with the “Health Cluster” being one of the most discussed topics. Other Pillar 2 clusters in the spotlight include the “Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society cluster”, and the “Climate, Energy and Mobility cluster”. Responding to participants’ requests, our expert delved into building Horizon Europe partnerships (optimum size of the partnership, how to find partners, different partner roles, etc), as well as on identifying the level of development of innovation and, more specifically, placing it on the TRL scale and the IRL scale (investment readiness). What an enlightening training session!
