Arhs Developments In-House Training Course | Online 20-21.4.23

On April 20-21, 2023, European Academy provided an in-depth online training course on the PM² Project Management Methodology for Arhs Developments. This specialized course, based on the European Commission’s PM² framework, was designed to support Arhs Developments in mastering essential project management practices tailored to the unique requirements of EU-funded projects.

The training program, enriched with hands-on workshops and scenario-based exercises, covered key areas of the PM² methodology:

  • Core Project Management Principles and PM² Fundamentals: Participants explored various methodologies and understood PM²’s unique strengths. This included project management fundamentals such as the triple constraint—balancing time, scope, and budget—and aligning outcomes to maximize project value.

  • Governance and Lifecycle Phases in PM²: The course delved into PM² governance structures, assigning roles using the RASCI model, and detailed lifecycle phases from initiation to closure, with an emphasis on critical artefacts needed at each stage.

  • Initiation and Planning Phases: Participants developed key artefacts, including the Project Charter and Work Plans, and learned techniques for setting project goals, identifying critical success factors, and managing resources effectively.

  • Risk and Stakeholder Management: Through targeted workshops, Arhs Developments’ team practiced risk identification, analysis, and mitigation, as well as stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies, vital for project stability and success.

  • Execution, Monitoring, and Control: The course emphasized methods for efficient project tracking, quality assurance, and change management. Participants engaged with PM²’s monitoring tools to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets, maintain performance, and manage communications.

  • Project Closure and Lessons Learned: The training concluded with project closure best practices, including conducting project-end reviews, documenting lessons learned, and final reporting, ensuring project value is fully realized and learnings are leveraged for future projects.
