Central Denmark EU Office In-House Training Course | Brussels 14-16.6.23

In today’s dynamic business landscape, organisations seek to maximize their project management potential through targeted and tailored training initiatives. Among the most impactful approaches is the adoption of PM², the official project management methodology of the European Commission, at an organisational level. As we explore the advantages of this transformative training, it becomes evident that harnessing the principles and practices of PM² within the organisation empowers individuals and teams to achieve remarkable project outcomes and propel organizational success.

Between 14 and 16 June 2023, our experts delivered an impactful in-house training programme to the Central Denmark EU Office, equipping 35 participants with the latest knowledge in the management and coordination of E.C. funded projects using the renowned PM² Methodology. The training was led by the esteemed industry experts Dr Danijela Ciric Lalic, accomplished lecturer, trainer, and project management expert, as well as European Academy’s Chief Academic Officer, Mr. Prilidis Dimitrios, former auditor of the E.C., and Mr. Nicos Kourounakis, one of the main contributors to the PM² Methodology.

Investing in comprehensive training programmes paves the way for a future of successful project initiatives. Participants in this course were provided with the essential skills and reference sources to confidently navigate the complex landscape of EU policy and funding, securing long-term success in implementing impactful projects as such:

Targeted Audience and Collaboration: The course welcomed participants from the Central Denmark EU Office, including their dedicated staff and close partners in Central Denmark. This inclusive approach allowed regional employees and municipal workers involved in EU project proposals and management to strengthen their skill set and establish a shared understanding of best practices. The collaboration fostered a cohesive and coordinated approach to EU project initiatives within the region, ensuring long-term success in securing funding and implementing impactful projects.

Building a Strong Foundation: The course commenced with an engaging introduction to EU funding basics, allowing participants to grasp the fundamental principles and processes involved in securing and managing European Commission (E.C.) funding. This session of Dr Danijela Ciric Lalic provided a solid foundation for the subsequent modules, ensuring all participants were equipped with the necessary knowledge to excel in EU project management.

Elements of a Winning Proposal: Recognizing the importance of crafting persuasive project proposals, European Academy included a dedicated module on the “Elements of a Winning Proposal.” This segment provided valuable insights into the key components that make a proposal stand out among the competition. Participants learned practical techniques to enhance their proposal writing skills, enabling them to develop compelling narratives that resonate with E.C. evaluators.

Navigating the Financial Landscape: Understanding the financial aspects of EU projects is crucial for effective project management. In line with this, Mr. Prilidis, delivered an insightful session. Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the financial framework and guidelines for successful project implementation, ensuring they could navigate complex financial landscapes with confidence.

Mastering the PM² Methodology: A highlight of the training was the comprehensive module delivered by Mr. Nicos Kourounakis. The participants delved into the intricacies of the PM² Methodology. Through interactive exercises and real-world case studies, attendees learned how to apply the PM² Methodology to enhance project management efficiency, improve coordination, and ensure successful project outcomes.
