Mastering PM² for EU-Funded Projects: Highlights from the March 2025 Online Training

Professionals from across Europe participated in European Academy’s online training PM² Project Management Methodology for European Funded Projects, held on 27–28 March 2025. This dynamic two-day programme offered participants a structured and practical pathway to mastering the European Commission’s official project management methodology.

Tailored for those managing EU-funded initiatives, the course provided a deep dive into PM² fundamentals covering governance, lifecycle phases, risk and stakeholder management, and the end-to-end project flow from initiation to closure. Facilitated through expert-led sessions and collaborative workshops using Miro, attendees worked hands-on with PM² artefacts to apply concepts in real-world project scenarios.

Beyond methodology, the training also focused on strengthening key competencies such as strategic planning, critical thinking, and proposal design within the EC framework. Participants explored how to align project proposals with PM² standards to improve success rates in competitive calls.

A significant advantage of the course was the inclusion of the PM² Basic Certification Exam voucher (valued at €150), offering participants the opportunity to formally validate their skills and boost their professional credentials.

Combining theory with active participation, peer exchange, and feedback, this training helped participants gain both confidence and capability in managing EU projects effectively and in compliance with EC expectations.
