Project management professionals from diverse sectors came together virtually for an immersive course on the PM² Project Management Methodology for EU Funded Projects. This two-day program offered participants practical insights into the European Commission’s project management standard, providing the tools needed to navigate complex EC-funded projects with confidence.
The course focused heavily on Risk Management and Project Execution, two areas critical for the smooth implementation of EU projects. During the Risk Management session, participants explored techniques for identifying potential project risks and developing robust mitigation strategies. A common question was, “How can we anticipate risks in cross-border projects and adapt our response strategies accordingly?” Trainers shared valuable insights into proactive risk assessment and flexible response planning.
In the Project Execution segment, attendees delved into the tools and artefacts essential for maintaining control over project scope, schedule, and resources. Through hands-on exercises, participants practiced using PM² artefacts, such as the Project Logs and Monitoring Tools, to track progress and address issues effectively. Discussions included, “What strategies help keep project teams aligned on goals throughout the execution phase?” This session provided participants with actionable strategies for managing project workflows and team collaboration.
In addition to the practical applications, participants received a PM² Basic Certification Exam voucher, enabling them to validate their expertise and enhance their project management credentials.
